“Have you
ever received Jesus Christ as your Savior ?"
The world wants to believe that people are
good. We are not good and we cannot become good, period.
Man is a sinner and cannot save himself, now we do not like
to be called sinners. This is a hard truth, but it is true
nonetheless. It is the core of Christianity. Romans 3:23
tells us that “All have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God.” We “NEED” a Savior.
The good news is that God is merciful and solved the problem
of man’s sin. He did so by sending his son Jesus Christ
to pay for our sins and purchase a place in heaven for us.
But here’s the key, the Bible teaches us
that it’s not enough just to know that God
loves you, or that we are sinners, or that Jesus came to
pay the penalty for our sins. It’s good, but it’s
not enough. The fact is, each of us must individually
receive Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. Then, and
only then, will we be born again into His family, into His
Kingdom. Only then can we truly know and experience God’s
love and His plan for our lives and have a personal relationship
with God. God created man to have fellowship with Him.
John 1:12 says, “Yet to all who received him, to
those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become
children of God.” And the Apostle Paul told us in
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been
saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is
the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that
no one may boast.” In John 14:6 Jesus said “I
am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to
the Father except through me.”
1. Do you believe Jesus is the only way to God the Father?
2. Do you believe that Jesus rose from the dead on the third
day, as prophesied in Scripture?
3. Are you sure you’re ready to confess to Him that
you are a sinner, that you need forgiveness, and that you
will follow Him no matter what it may cost?
